My real fear with these is the gaskets. Which have been done! This is totally one of those “its not even that irresponsible” irresponsible ideas. The 530 is so solid though.

Or perhaps they bought it nearly free with failing guides, are mechanically inclined and fixed it themselves, and managed to turn a profit even at that price. I know a person who was given a free e38 with failing guides. He fixed it and daily drove it.
